| Commentary: This piece is based on Arima's Kamishibai "Epitaph". It is also the first entry I received and I was very pleased when I saw it. It obviously didn't take days or weeks to do but the style of it is very unique. I especially love the way the leaves up top are done. Mixing in a sense of the red leaves of autumn that can symbolize death. I also appreciated the solidness of the tree in comparison to the characters themselves. Like one is more mortal than the other. |
